Everything you want to know about RoboPaw — the hardware, the safety system, privacy, pricing, and what makes us different.
RoboPaw Series 1 is $999.99 one-time for the hardware, plus a $89/month membership.
The membership covers continuous AI model updates, 24/7 human support, a 48-hour hardware replacement guarantee, and full access to the parental control app. There are no hidden fees — that's the complete cost.
For comparison, Sony Aibo starts at $2,800 and has no child safety features. RoboPaw costs 65% less and does more of what matters.
Yes. You can cancel the membership after the first year. The hardware is yours to keep — it will continue to operate using the last AI model installed on the device.
Active membership is required for OTA AI updates, app connectivity, and the 48-hour replacement guarantee. Without it, the core safety functions still run on-device.
The $89/month membership includes:
Continuous AI model updates — your unit gets smarter over time with no additional cost.
24/7 human support — real people, not bots, available around the clock.
48-hour hardware replacement guarantee — if your unit fails, we ship a replacement within 48 hours.
Full parental control app — live view, alert history, session logs, and remote controls.
Founding members who join the waitlist now receive priority shipping and locked-in early pricing — meaning if we raise prices before or after launch, your rate is protected.
No payment is required to join the waitlist. You only pay when your unit ships.
RoboPaw is purpose-built as a family guardian. Its safety system includes:
Dual 4K cameras with IR thermal imaging, night vision, and 180° wide-angle coverage — monitoring every corner of a room even in total darkness.
Thermal fever detection — detects elevated body temperature and environment hazards automatically.
Fall detection & distress recognition — identifies unusual movement patterns or sounds and triggers an immediate alert.
Sub-9-second emergency response — from alert to FaceTime connection in under 9 seconds.
SLAM floor mapping — RoboPaw knows every room, doorway, and obstacle in your home.
Yes. RoboPaw is designed to operate safely around children from age 3 and family members of all ages. The unit is built with rounded edges, low-emission sensors, and proximity-aware navigation that stops movement when a small child is too close.
The holographic projector is calibrated to safe luminance levels and projects only onto floors, walls, and surfaces — never directly at eyes.
Yes. The dual cameras include low-light night vision rated to 0.001 lux — that's effectively complete darkness. Combined with the thermal imaging sensor, RoboPaw can detect body heat, movement, and temperature anomalies regardless of ambient light.
This makes it especially effective for overnight monitoring — fever detection while children sleep, for example, was one of the most-cited use cases in our early access program.
When RoboPaw's AI detects a safety event — a fall, a distress sound, a fever spike, or a hazard proximity breach — it instantly sends a priority push notification to your phone with a one-tap FaceTime link directly to the unit's camera.
Average time from alert trigger to live FaceTime view: under 9 seconds. You can see exactly what's happening and speak through the unit's speaker without leaving your desk.
The battery is designed to last a full working day under normal operation — approximately 8–10 hours of active monitoring and engagement. In low-activity standby mode, runtime extends significantly.
RoboPaw returns to its charging dock autonomously when battery levels drop, so it's ready again when you need it.
No. Zero cloud storage of video, audio, or biometric data — ever.
All camera feeds, thermal readings, and sensor data are processed entirely on the device itself. Raw data never leaves your home network. The only things that go over the internet are app sync, OTA updates, and anonymized diagnostics (opt-in only).
RoboPaw's architecture is specifically designed to minimize remote attack surface. Since all AI inference runs on-device and camera data never transits the internet, there is no remote server storing your footage that could be breached.
All locally stored data is encrypted with AES-256 — the same standard used by financial institutions. A factory reset permanently destroys the encryption keys, making data unrecoverable even with physical access to the hardware.
Never. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data in any form. RoboPaw's business model is hardware + membership — we have no incentive to sell your data, and our architecture is built so we couldn't access most of it even if we wanted to.
Read the full Privacy Policy for complete details.
Yes. Because all biometric, video, and audio data from children is processed exclusively on-device and never transmitted to external servers, RoboPaw's architecture exceeds COPPA requirements by design — not just by policy.
We also adhere to HIPAA-class privacy standards for any health-related data (fever readings, thermal data) processed by the device.

Sony Aibo is a social companion — it's entertaining, but it has zero safety monitoring capability. No fall detection, no fever alerts, no emergency FaceTime, no child engagement features. It starts at $2,800 and relies on cloud processing.
RoboPaw is a family guardian. Purpose-built for child safety and engagement, on-device AI, 65% cheaper, and designed for the moments that actually matter — not just novelty.
A nanny cam is passive — it records, and you review it later. A baby monitor sends audio. Neither takes action, engages your child, detects health events, or alerts you before a situation escalates.
RoboPaw actively monitors, engages, and responds. It keeps children busy with screen-free stories and games while you work — then alerts you the instant anything changes. It's not a camera. It's a co-parent.
Lovot is a social companion robot focused on emotional comfort — it has no safety monitoring or alert capability whatsoever.
Loona / EMO are toy-grade desktop robots with no family safety use case — no cameras capable of monitoring, no alert systems, no AI engagement at the level needed for child supervision.
RoboPaw is the only product on the market combining guardian-level safety monitoring with screen-free child engagement at a consumer price point.
